Introduction

Although a nut cannot be strictly defined in botanical or agricultural terms, we chose to group almonds, pistachios and hazelnuts in a category whose fruit certainly distinguishes itself from the rest.

They are deciduous plants, with varying requirements in optimum temperatures, yet who generally prefer deep and fertile soils, with irrigation and good drainage. They all give fruit with high nutritional value, valuable for the human health.

At Kontopoulos Plants you can find exceptional plants to enjoy your nuts in your cooking, pastry or along your drink. Our favourite nut is hazelnut, which we prepared for you by growing two plants of two different varieties in the same pot, so that you will get you nuts even in small spaces.
